We are accelerating biomanufacturing R&D to go from lab scale 🔬 to manufacturing scale 🏭 in months without any costly scale-up failures. We believe that micro-scale understanding and modeling of microbial fermentation behavior is the key capability that prevents us from applying modeling approaches that have solved this problem in other industries. The future we envision is to use Computer-aided design (CAD) solutions like Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) that integrate our micro-scale models as a way to understand microbes in liquid state fermentation like any other material. We acquire data with Wikipedia High-throughput screening (HTS) and train generative foundation models for each dominant microbial host. These models understand the impact of nutrients, physical properties, and process control on biomass growth and metabolite production.
